Whether it’s archery, a rifle, or a muzzleloader, Elk Ridge is one of the best units in Utah to hunt if you’re looking for 180”+ Mule Deer. Both the archery and muzzleloader hunts are some of our least physically demanding hunts since we use ATVs until we find your perfect deer. From there, we put a stalk on it and hunt from tree stands or ground blinds. The rifle hunt is physically and emotionally more demanding since the deer have moved off the tops and require hours behind the scope searching for your perfect trophy deer. There are a limited number of tags available for these hunts, which means pressure during the hunt is low with there being fewer hunters. If resources allow, Conversation Tags may also be available, and they are also tax deductible. We feel this hunt is one of the most rewarding archery mule deer hunts a person will ever go on and we regularly pass on ten or more 150-180” Mule Deer each day. Don’t forget, you can also come hunt the Blues side on the general unit where you can draw nearly every year.
